When you say "move it further away" do you mean move the mic away from your mouth as you speak or do you mean moving the slider? Do you mean the speaker output volume on your PC? In other words, if you increase the output volume from your speakers then it makes your own voice over the mic sound tinier?

Is that it? Extraordinary , Jul 3, Nothing there like that for me. Won't matter what sound card you have as you are using a USB mic, which in no way uses the sound card. No idea as the whether the mic boost option is even available with a USB mic unless it has its own drive to use instead of the default Windows USB audio driver.

Not that it helps but you do not have the driver for the onboard audio installed or it would show as such instead of showing as "high definition audio device". You will probably need to use the onboard one - set it as default, plug in a mic, and check again. Last edited: Jul 3, Maybe put your mic closer to you? I don't know. For me, I put my mic on my webcam to 30 and any higher people say that their ears are burning from loudness lol.

Download and install lastest VIA drivers, then go Windows Control Panel and open "Via sound control panel", there you have your mic boost settings. It's not there. I've tried. There is a volume slider for but it does not have the boost that can be found when i plug into a 3.
